Random thoughts.... post yours!

I may be a sci-fi nut, but I'm still a greaser at heart. LOL!

So... this week I've been in a training class all day, every day, for an application named Automation Anywhere. It's an application that falls in the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) category of software tools. It's interesting but sitting at my desk from 9AM-6PM on a conference call viewing a WebEx session is starting to take its toll. Today is the last day of class and I'll be happy to get back to my normal routine again.

So this week I'm dealing with head congestion and running a temp'. Mrs. Kevin thinks that I'm starting to develop seasonal allergies, of which I've had none before. Past 24 hours spent sniffling & sneezing following a couple of days of a scratchy throat then backed up sinuses. I must find out from medical friends how much mucous a body can produce in a given time frame because it is apparently a lot. Took some Claritin-D today. Can tell I'm not well because I did *not* finish my Chick-Fil-A lunch today. Pretty sure the rest of the office is trying to figure out how to seal up my cube with me inside.

You got the bug bro, be careful some strains will knock you out, we need to all get our flu shots to be careful, my 2 cents....

We have an enterprise system named "Matrix" here; today there is a problem with it. Me asking "So you're saying there is a glitch in the Matrix?" did not get a single response.

I really need to make sure there are more sci-fi geeks at my next employer. :coffee:

Makes me think of "The Watcher" real-life story out of NJ. In short, there is a house in New Jersey that letters are being sent to by somebody calling themselves "The Watcher" and claim that their family is the rightful owners of the house & that they've been watching the house and it's occupants for years.

My grandfather watched the house in the 1920s and my father watched in the 1960s. It is now my time.

There has been lawsuits filed from new owners suing prior owners for not disclosing the letters, the police are involved but no suspects, and it has become a bit of a local urban legend.

Here's a recent Time article about it since the house just went up for sale again.

The Creepiest House in New Jersey Is Back on the Market for $1.2 Million

If any writers are looking for inspiration, google "The Watcher" & "New Jersey". ;)
