1963, 1899 called they want every thing back....
Does anyone remember a film back in the late 60's or early 70's. I believe it was a Euro film about 1 man in a terrible accident and a doctor fixed him up as a half android half human. There was a fellow scientist who was envious of the main characters talents. The android had issues with human acceptance at first, but later became accepted. The envious scientist wanted to have the procedure done to him so he could be like the android hybrid and the surgery failed and he perished. I remember the film vaguely, but I wish I could find the book or a dvd.......:puzzled::puzzled:

List of fictional cyborgs - Wikipedia

Android (from Late Greek androeidēs - manlike; see andro- , -oid) is a robot resembling a human being (frequently, though not necessarily a very close, ideally undistinguishable resemblance is implied).

A cyborg, short for "cybernetic organism", is a being with both biological and artificial (e.g. electronic, mechanical or robotic) parts.

Robot is any artificial thing made to do work. Wiki defines it as a "mechanical or virtual intelligent agent that can perform tasks automatically or with guidance, typically by remote control". It's a very generic term.

I believe it was a Euro film about 1 man in a terrible accident and a doctor fixed him up as a half android half human.
So, what you are looking for is a "cyborg" film

In ST: TNG

The Borg are cyborgs
